Lya Hall
Operations Managing Director/ Support Worker
I grew up in Bolton in Lancashire and ended up moving to Liverpool to study Accounting and Finance at University and later pursued a career in public sector accounting/audit as I wanted to have a career that would enable me to give back to the community.
A few years ago, I set up a property management business where I managed high quality shared accommodation houses for professionals working in the Preston area. Whilst I enjoyed working with professional tenants, I felt it was time for me to follow my passion and use my management skills to help those less fortunate in the community so I joined a well established supported housing organization known as Community Interventions. Community Interventions gave me the perfect opportunity to fulfill my passion of working with vulnerable people. I worked as a house manager supporting a number of service users with everyday tasks such as registering with GP, booking appointments, arranging methadone scripts, signing up for a college course, etc.
As the Managing Director for Trentway, my vision for the area is to help put an end to rough sleepers by creating a person centred support package to suit the individual’s needs. This will be achieved by working with local agencies, government authorities and employers in order to provide key support to our clients and help improve their lives.
